On Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 7:00 a.m., a non-GSU male was approached by two suspects, who displayed a handgun and stole several items of property from the vehicle. They then fled into the lower level of the General Classroom Building. The area was searched with negative results. There were no reported injuries. The suspects were described as two black males. The first suspect was slim in build and was wearing a black shirt and black jogging pants. He was approximately 5’10” in height and 150 to 155 lbs in weight. He also had a scar on his right cheek. On Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 10:50 p.m., two GSU students were approached by three suspects, who displayed two handguns and demanded that the students drop their belongings. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that at 8:00 am she left her bag in her office. When she returned at 1:00 pm she noticed her bag was missing. Arrests 3/30/07 Village 07-0267 Officers arrested two GSU students for Affray. At 10:25 pm officers responded to a fight call in the village. When the arrived they observed the suspect had been in a fight. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. Student Center 07-0268 Officers arrested a GSU student as an Agency Assist. At 4:30 pm officers observed the suspect hiding in the back of the park. When officers approached they noticed drug paraphernalia and later found the drugs. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 4/2/07 Decatur St. 07-0271 Officers arrest a non-GSU individual for Give False information to the Police. The suspect was observed carrying a large back away from the construction on Decatur. Officers stopped the suspect and a criminal history check was conducted with came back positive for a warrant. The contents of the bag appeared to be stolen construction tools. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 4/3/07 Woodruff Park 07-0279 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Battery. The complainant, a non-GSU individual, stated that the suspect tried to choke him during an argument. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 3/4/07 Underground Parking Deck 07-0281 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Child Molestation. Officers observed the suspect with the child in the stairwell of Underground parking. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. The case is being handled by Investigations. Peachtree Center Ave 07-0283 Officer arrested a non- GSU individual for Give False information to the Police. Officer observed the suspect Run a Red light and initiated a Vehicle pullover. The driver had no License or Identification on his person. A check was conducted on the vehicle, which came back unregistered and no insurance. After further investigation, his girl friend arrived and stated he was not who he had stated previously. The drive was arrested, processed, and transported to Fulton County Jail without incident. 4/5/07 North Ave 07-0289 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for fraud. The officer observed the suspect soliciting money in the name a charity that does not exists. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. 4/7/07 Courtland St 07-0292 Officers arrested two non-GSU individual for Obstruction of Police. The officers attempted to stop a vehicle that smell of marijuana and the driver fled. Officers caught the driver and ordered the passenger out of the car but he refused and had to be escorted from the vehicle. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 4/8/07 Student Center 07-0294 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Criminal Trespass. At 5:15 pm officers observed a suspect whom they knew to have a CTW. The CTW was confirmed and the suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 4/9/07 Wall St 07-0296 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss. Of Marijuana. At 4:30 pm officers observed the suspect smoking the drugs and made contact with the suspect. The suspect was search and yielded more drugs in his possession. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City jail. 4/10/07 Peachtree Center Ave 07-0300 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss of Cocaine. The officer stopped the suspect for a traffic violation and located the cocaine on the suspect’sperson. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Piedmont Ave 07-0301 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Driving without a License. The suspect was stopped after driving the wrong way on piedmont. The suspect had no license and was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. 4/11/07 Wall St 07-0302 Officer arrested two non-GSU individuals for Poss. Of Marijuana. At 4:10 pm officers observed the suspects smoking the drugs and made contact with the suspects. The suspects were searched and yielded more drugs in their possession. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City jail. 4/12/07 Kimball Way 07-0307 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Theft by receiving stolen vehicle. The officer observed the suspect traveling the wrong way on Peachtree center Ave when the officer tried to stop the vehicle the suspect fled later crashing near Kimball way. The suspect who is a juvenile was arrested, processed and taken to a youth detention center. Reports 3/30/07 Lofts 07-0265 Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass Warnings. At 1;45 am officers responded to a odor of marijuana smell at the lofts. When officers arrived they observed 4 suspects two of whom were students inside the dorm room with the suspect drugs. No drugs were found but paraphernalia was located. The students were turned over to housing and the non- students were issued CTWs and escorted off campus. Library North 07-0266 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass Warning. At 8:55 officers observed the suspect being disorderly and non-cooperative with library staff’s request. The suspect was issued CTW and escorted off campus. 3/31/07 Olympia 07-0269 A report was filed for Poss. Of Marijuana. Officers observed the village resident leaving his room and drinking what appeared to be alcohol. When officers attempted to talk to the student he fled, leaving his backpack. The backpack contained more alcohol and some marijuana. The case is being handled by Investigations. 4/2/07 Student Center 07-0272 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass Warning. At 8:05 am officers observed the suspect sleeping in the Student Center before it was open. The suspect was issued CTW and escorted off campus. Sparta 07-0322 Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass Warning. At 3:40 pm officers responded to an odor of marijuana call in Sparta. Officers entered the room and observed four suspects (two residents, two non-GSU) along with drug paraphernalia. The two residents were turned over to housing and the non-GSU individuals were issued CTWs and escorted off the property. 4/21/07 Rialto 07-00325 Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass Warning. While patrolling the rialto officers observed the two suspects inside the building. The suspects were questioned and detained. The suspects were issued CTWs and escorted off the property. Arrests No arrests were made. Reports 4/24/07 Lucky St 07-0332 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass Warning. The complainant, a US Food Service worker, stated that someone had taken boxes of food from his truck. Officers search the area with positive results locating the suspect and the boxes. The complainant did not want to press charges and the suspect was issued a CTW and released. Aderhold 07-0333 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid Property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 4/17/07 she left her text book in Aderhold. When she came back the next day it was gone. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. University Center 07-0334 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid Property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that he left his cell phone on top of the ATM in the University Center at 8:30 pm. When he returned at 9:45 pm the phone was gone. Arrests 4/23/07 Wall St 07-0331 Officers arrested a GSU student for Poss. Of Marijuana. The officers were called to a room in Athina for a odor of marijuana. When officers entered the room they located a bag of marijuana in the student’s bedroom. The student was issued a copy of charges and released. Reports 04/23/07 Surplus Warehouse 07-0327 A report was filed for entering auto. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that he notice two of GSU’s vehicles had broken windows however nothing was found to be missing. The case is being handled by Investigations. Broad St 07-0328 A report was filed for Battery. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that while in a store on broad street the suspect made a comment about the complainant and his girlfriend being interracial and then punch the complainant. The case is being handled by Investigations. University Center 07-0330 A report was filed for theft from Building. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that someone had taken a large 6 foot grill from the University Center. The officers were called to the lofts for a suspect whom entered the Lofts and refused to leave. Officers located the suspect and detained him. The suspect was issued a CTW and escorted of the campus. G-Deck 07-0344 A report was filed for entering auto. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that 5:30 pm he parked his car in G-Deck. When he returned at 9:00 pm he noticed various items were taken from his car. The compliant also stated he did not lock his doors when he left his car. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Arrests 4/26/07 Decatur St 07-0247 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Robbery. At 10:11 am the suspect took the complainant purse. An officer who was in the area was alerted to the robbery and was able to arrest the suspect before he could leave the area. No weapons were used and no injuries were reported. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Reports 4/26/07 Athina 07-0346 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass Warning. The officers were called to Athina for a suspect who was sleeping in the stairwell. Officers located the suspect and detained him. The suspect was issued a CTW and escorted of the campus. Arrests 4/28/07 Central Ave 07-0350 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for driving without a license and Give false information for an L.E.O. At 3:50 pm officers observed the suspect go the wrong way on Central Ave. Officers stopped the vehicle and a driver history check was conducted with came back no license. The driver’s wife also said he lied about his name. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. Pryor St 07-0351 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for driving without a license. At 7:50 pm officers observed the suspect go the wrong way on Pryor St. Officers stopped the vehicle and a driver history check was conducted with came back no license. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. Gilmer St 07-0352 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Battery. The complainant, non-GSU individual, stated that her boy friend hit her. Officers located the suspect who had fled the area and detained him. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 4/29/07 Broad St 07-0353 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss. Of Marijuana. The officers observed the suspect urinating on Broad St and ordered the suspect to stop. The suspect started yelling and was arrested. While under arrest officers found drugs in the suspect’s pockets. The suspect was processed and taken to Atlanta City Jail. Reports No reports were filed.
