Arrests 8/6/07 Luckie St/Forsyth Street 07-0620 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Simple Battery/Disorderly Conduct. The complainant, a non-GSU individual was struck by a female when asked to leave the Fulton County Library. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 8/7/2007 Piedmont/Auburn Avenue 07-0623 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Possession of Marijuana. The officer observed the suspect smoking marijuana and stopped the suspect. Officers found more marijuana on the suspect and residue inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta Pre-Trial Detention Center. Reports 8/3/07 Library North 07-0618 A report was filed for Theft from Building. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that he last saw (2) two-way radios on July 27, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. When he returned on July 30 at 6:45 a.m. they were missing. The radios were valued at $500 each. 8/6/07 Peachtree Center Avenue 07-0621 A report was filed for Entering Auto/Criminal Trespass. The complainants, two GSU students stated that they parked their vehicle at 7:30 p.m. When they returned at 8:45 p.m. the left rear window had been broken out and their belongings had been stolen. 8/7/07 Student Center 07-0622 A report was filed by a GSU individual for Fraud. The complainant stated that she used the Wachovia ATM machine and did not retrieve her bank card. When she checked her account several transactions had been made from her account totaling $800. She checked the area for her bank card with negative results. Arrests 8/8/07 Broad Street (Footlocker) 07-0624 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Shoplifting. While on patrol the officer observed the suspect being chased by a store employee. The officer apprehended the suspect and was found in possession of a pair of tennis shoes valued at $125. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. General Classroom Building 07-0625 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for an Outstanding Warrant/Criminal Trespass Warning. The officer observed the suspect loitering in the stairwell of GCB. A GCIC history check was conducted with an active warrant out of Walton County. The suspect was arrested, processed and transported to Fulton County Jail. Reports 8/9/07 University Bookstore 07-0626 A report was filed for Shoplifting. The complainant, a bookstore employee observed the suspect on camera stealing 7 textbooks. The security guard in the COB building noticed the suspect whom she knew to have a CTW enters the building. The suspect was arrested by police, processed and taken to Fulton county jail. John Wesley Dobbs Ave 07-0632Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss. of Cocaine. Officers stopped the suspect for suspicious activies and found multiple crack rocks. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 8/11/07 Lofts 07-0635Officers arrested a GSU student for Poss of Marijuana. The officer was called to the room by the RA who advised that she believed someone was smoking in the room. When officers knocked on the door the suspect open the door and admitted to smoke and having in his possession marijuana. The student was arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges. 8/14/07 Broad St 07-0638Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency Assist. Officers responding to a fight call conducted a criminal history check on the fighters. One of the suspect came back with a warrant and was arrested. He was later processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Broad St 07-0639Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss of Marijuana. Officers observed the suspect light a marijuana cigar. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 8/15/07 Woodruff Park 07-0640 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss. Of Cocaine and Terroristic Threats. The officers were stopped by a female who stated that the suspect was harassing her. When officers stopped the suspect he became hostel and made threats to the officers. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Peachtree St. 07-0644Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency Assist. The under age suspects were all arrested and released on a copy of charges. 8 of the student two of whom were from GA Tech were issued Criminal Trespass Warning from the commons. The suspect who came to the Police HQ was attempted to retrieve property that was seized from him during an earlier arrest. When told that the person who releases property would not be back for a few hours the suspect started to yell and curse at the security guard. When officers arrived the suspect continued to curse. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Broad St Plaza 07-0657Officers arrested two non GSU individual for Possession with the Intent to distribute and Forgery. Officers observed what they believed to be a drug transaction and stopped both suspects. When questioned about the sale the seller stated he did not sell the buyer any drugs because his money was not real. The buyer was placed under arrested for forgery. The seller was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana with the intent to sell. A search of the area yielded 5 more ounces of marijuana. The suspects were later processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 8/19/07 Commons 07-0662Officers arrested a GSU student for Possession of Marijuana. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 5:00 pm she parked her car on Gilmer St and went into the Arts and Humanities Building. When she returned at 6:30 pm she noticed her car window was broken but nothing was taken. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 8/19/07 Commons 07-0664A report was filed for Attempted Suicide. A resident of the Commons called police when his guest a non-GSU student, was attempting to kill himself. EMS was contacted and the victim was taken to Grady Hospital. His current status is unknown but at the time of the report EMS stated his injuries were not life threatening.
