Arrests 1/25/07 Piedmont Ave 07-0078 Offices arrested a non-GSU individual for Obstruction. At 9:50 pm officers observed the suspect panhandling in the street. When stopped by officers the suspect became hostile. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton county jail. 1/27/07 Village 07-0084 Officers arrest two non-GSU individuals for Obstruction. At 4:40 pm officers observed the suspects in the village loitering around. When the officer attempted to talk to the suspects they ran. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta Pre-trial Jail. 1/28/07 John Wesley Dobbs 07-0085 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for driving was while unlicenced. At 6:35 pm officers stopped a vehicle that almost stuck an officer. A criminal history check was conducted which yielded positive results for a suspended license. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton county jail. 1/29/07 Arts and humanities 07-0087 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Criminal Trespass. At 6:20 pm officers responded to a suspicious person call and made contact with the suspect. A criminal history check was conducted which cam back positive for a Criminal trespass warning. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 1/30/07 University bookstore 07-0092 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for theft by shoplifting. The officers responded the suspect trying to sell back a book that he had stolen a day earlier. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton county jail. Reports 1/25/07 General Classroom Building 07-0072 A report was filed for a Fire. At 10:30 am officers were sent to the 8th level of GCB for a fire. Officers were able to put the fire out and evacuate the building. The case is being handled by GSU and Atlanta Fire Investigations. General Classroom Building 07-0073 A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that at 9:00 am she left her purse in her office. At 4:50 pm she noticed her wallet was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Student Center 07-0074 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 2:15 pm she lost her cell phone. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. GSU Bookstore 07-0075 A report was filed for theft. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that one of their employees was steeling books from the department. The case is being handled by Investigations. General Classroom Building 07-0076 A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 2:15 pm she left her laptop in GCB. When she returned she noticed the laptop was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Library South 07-0077 A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 5:15 pm he left his laptop in the library. When he returned at 5:30 pm he noticed his laptop was gone. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 1/26/07 Landmark diner 07-0079 A non-GSU individual was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning. The complainant, A manager at Landmark, stated that at 2:00 am the suspect ate a meal then refused to pay. The diner did not was to press charges and the suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning. Library Plaza 07-0080 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 11:00 am he lost his cell phone. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Student Center 07-0081 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 11:30 he left his wallet in the Student center. When he returned at 1:00 pm he noticed that his wallet was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. N-Deck 07-0082 A report was filed for Entering Auto. At 4:30 pm officers observed a suspect carrying a laptop on piedmont ave. When officers tried to stop the suspect he dropped the laptop and took off running. A search of the area was conducted with negative results but the laptop was recovered along with the suspect’s cell phone. The case is being handled by Investigations. 1/27/07 Sparta 07-0083 A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 12:53 pm she left her laptop in her room with the door unlocked. When she returned at 1:45 pm she noticed her laptop ($1700) was missing. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that on 1/29/07 a computer was noticed missing. The computer was last seen on 1/1/07. At 11:48 pm officers observed two suspects that had been previously been kicked out of the village, being escorted in by a resident. The two suspects were stopped and detained and the student was turned over to housing. A criminal history check was conducted on the suspects, which yielded positive results for a warrant for one of the suspects. While being searched, officers located the drugs and charged the suspect.
