Georgia State University Police Department

The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports from 7:00 a.m. January 11, 2006 through 7:00 a.m. Jan 16, 2007.

Arrests 

1/11/07
Peachtree Center Ave
07-0029	Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Driving on a Suspended License.  At 12:30 pm officers observed the suspect fail for yield to pedestrians and stopped the vehicle.  A criminal history check was conducted which came back positive for a suspended license. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton county jail.

1 Park Place
07-0034	Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for robbery.  The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that at 9:30 am she observed the suspect going threw her purse. The staff member called police and the suspect was located and arrested. The suspect was processed and taken to Fulton County Jail.

G-Deck
07-0047	Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Auto Theft.  At 11:53 pm officers joined a chase with the Atlanta Police department of a suspect driving a stolen car. The suspect was captured in G-deck and turned over to Atlanta.

Sparta
07-0030	A report was filed for Theft from Building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 10:30 am he left his room unsecured.  When he returned at 1:45 pm he noticed that his laptop ($700) was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

Kell Hall
07-0031	A report was filed for Theft from Building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 9:00 am she left her room unsecured.  When she returned at 1:00 pm she noticed that her bag was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

Loft parking deck
07-0033	A report was filed for Criminal Damage to proper.  The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that a student who’s car was booted in the deck broke the boot off and drove their car away. The case is being handled by Investigations.

Aderhold
07-0035	A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 11:00 am she left her cell phone in the bathroom.  When she returned at 12:30 pm she noticed her phone was gone. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 	

Haas Howell
07-0036	A report was filed for theft form building. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that at 1:15 pm she left her office to go to the bathroom.  When she returned at 1:45 pm she noticed that her wallet was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results.

Off Campus
07-0038 	A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 1/11/07 she noticed that $400 was missing from her purse.  A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

1/14/07
Village
07-0039	A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that she lost her panther card.  A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

1/15/07
Edgewood Ave
07-0040	A report was filed for attempted auto theft. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that 10:30 pm the night before he parked his car on Edgewood Ave. The next morning when he went to his car he noticed that the door was damaged and the steering column was broken.  The case is being handled by Investigations. 

Lofts
07-0041	A report was filed for simple assault.  The complainant, a GSU student, stated that a man who was visiting her broke her computer and threatened her. The case is being handled by Investigations. 

1/16/07
GCB
07-0042	A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that on 1/12/07 she left work for the holiday weekend. When she returned on 1/16/07 she noticed that 6 pictures were taken from the building. The case is being handled by Investigations.

Arts and Humanities
07-0043	A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, 
a GSU student, stated that at 8:00 am she left her purse outside her classroom. When she left class at 9:37 am she noticed her purse was gone. A search of the area was conducted with positive results for the purse but $30 and a cell phone were missing.

Recreation Center
07-0045	A report was filed for theft from Building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated while using the Student Recreation men’s' locker room shower, he returned from the shower room to discover that his blue tote bag with red trimming ($25) containing toiletries ($30) was missing.  The area was checked by the complainant with negative results.
