Georgia State University Police Department
The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. April 30, 2006 through 7:00 a.m. May 3, 2007.

Arrests 


5/1/07
Decatur Street
07-0365	Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Poss. Of
Marijuana. The officer observed the suspect smoke the marijuana and made
contact. The suspect attempted to hide the drugs but was unsuccessful.
The suspect was arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges

Sparta
07-0368	Officers arrested a GSU student individual for Poss. Of
Marijuana. The officers were called to the room after reports of water
being thrown from the room. Officers entered the room and smelled the
odor of marijuana. They later located the drugs.  The suspect was
arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges
5/2/07
Upper Wall
07-0370	Officers arrested two non-GSU individuals for Poss. Of
Marijuana. The officer observed the suspects smoke the marijuana and
made contact. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Fulton
County Jail. 

Reports

4/30/07
Sports Arena
07-355	A report was filed for theft from building. The complainant, a
GSU staff member, stated that at 8:40 am he noticed a laptop missing
from the athletic department. A search of the area was conducted with
negative results

Library North
07-0356	A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid
property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 4/28/07 she
left her bag in the library. The next day when she returned it was gone.
A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

Student Center
07-0359	Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass
Warning. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that a suspicious
person was walking the halls. Officers located the suspect and a
criminal history check was conducted which yielded positive results for
a pervious CTW.  The suspect was given another CTW and escorted off
campus. 

Alumni Hall
07-0360 	A report was file for theft from building. The
complainant, two GSU students, stated that they both left there bags in
Alumni hall while talking with a professor. When they returned they
noticed their bags were missing. A search of the area was conducted with
negative results.


Poplar St.
07-0363	A report was filed for Attempted Entering Auto. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 4/29/07 she left her car on
Poplar for the night. When she returned the next day her window was
broken but nothing was taken. The case is being handled by
Investigations. 

South Deck
07-0366	A report was filed for Entering Auto. The complainant, a
GSU student, stated that on 4/30/07 he left his car in the deck for the
night. When he returned the next day his window was broken and his CD
player was missing. The case is being handled by Investigations. 

5/2/07
Sparta
07-0369	A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 1:30 pm she woke up from a
nap and noticed some CDs were missing from her room. The student stated
her door was left open.  The case is being handled by Investigations.
