On Wednesday, October 31, 2007, a GSU student reported that at 9:10 p.m., while walking up the stairs to Courtland St from Library Plaza, a suspect approached him and grabbed his bag. The student fought back and the suspect fled before taking any property. The student stated he received several bruises but refused medical treatment. The suspect is described as a black male, 20-23 years of age, wearing black hoody and black pants. The suspect is about 5'6" in height and 160 lbs. Arrests 10/31/07 Pryor St. 07-0943 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Driving while unlicensed. The officer observed the suspect run a red light and stopped the vehicle. The suspect stated he had no license which was confirmed by a driver history search. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 11/2/07 Woodruff Park 07-0947 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency Assistance. The officer responded to Woodruff Park for a fight call. When he arrived he observed the suspect and conducted a criminal history check. The suspect came back with a warrant. He was then arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 11/3/07 John Wesley Dobbs 07-0951 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Possession of Marijuana. Officers observed the suspect smoking in his vehicle. The officers arrested, processed and transported the suspect to Atlanta City Jail. Reports 10/30/07 Arts and Humanities 07-0938 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 6:20 pm she left her phone in AH. When she returned at 6:35 pm she noticed her phone was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 10/31/07 Alumni Hall 07-0939 A report was filed for Theft from building. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 9:45 am she left her bag in Alumni Hall. When she returned at 10:40 am her bag was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Lofts 07-0941 A report was filed for Theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 10/31/07 he could not find his passport. The last day he remembered having it was 9/15/07. Haas Howell 07-0942 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. On 10/30/07 two GSU plant working stated that they could not find their keys. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 07-0944 Piedmont Ave 07-0944 A report was filed for Theft of motor vehicle. The complainant, a GSU student, stated he let his someone barrow his car. When the complainant, asked for it back the suspect refused to give it to him. The case is being handled by Investigations. Library Plaza 07-0945 A report was filed for Attempted robbery. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 9:10 pm someone tried to take his bag from him. The complainant fought back and the suspect was not able to take anything. The case is being Handled by Investigations. 11/1/07 Aderhold 07-0946 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU student stated that on 10/26/07 at 9:50 am she noticed her phone was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 11/2/07 Park Place 07-0948 Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass Warnings. A GSU staff member stated two suspects took her phone and were still in the building. Officers located the suspects but they did not have the phone on them. The suspects were issued CTWs and escorted off campus. 11/3/07 Commons 07-0950 Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass Warnings. Officers were called by an RA who stated that the two suspects were walking around the commons and did not live there. The suspects were issued CTWs and escorted off campus. Commons 07-0987 Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency Assist. The suspect was stopped for panhandling. The suspect came back with an active warrant. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. Reports 11/8/07 Upper Wall st 07-0967 A report was filed for theft. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 8:00 pm she parked her car on wall st. When she returned an hour later someone had opened her door, which was unlocked, and had taken cash and other items from her vehicle. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Library Plaza 07-969 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a criminal trespass warning. Officers were called to the plaza in reference to a suspicious person. When officers arrived they located the suspect and issued him a CTW. The suspect was escorted off campus without incident. 11/9/07 Arts and Humanities 07-0974 A report was filed for fraud. The complainant, a GSU faculty member, stated that she responded to an email that appeared to be from the IRS and provided that website her SSN, Date of Birth and Name. She later realized it was a phishing site. The case is being handled by Investigations. Aderhold 07-0975 A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that she could not find her work keys. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. Off campus 07-0976 A report was filed for Fraud. The complainant, a GSU student, stated that someone used her debt card. The Case is being handled by Investigations. 11/10/07 Sports Arena 07-0981 Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass Warning. The complainant, a GSU staff member stated that the suspect was trying gain entry into the sports arena. The suspect was issued a CTW and escorted off campus. 11/12/07 Commons 07-0982 A report was filed for Criminal Damage to property. The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that a vehicle entering the parking deck broke the gate arm. The case is being handled by Investigations.
