Georgia State University Police Department

The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. October 30, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. November 5, 2007.

 

Arrests

 

10/31/07

Pryor St. 

07-0943       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Driving while
unlicensed. The officer observed the suspect run a red light and stopped
the vehicle. The suspect stated he had no license which was confirmed by
a driver history search. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken
to Fulton County Jail. 

 

11/2/07

Woodruff Park

07-0947       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency
Assistance. The officer responded to Woodruff Park for a fight call.
When he arrived he observed the suspect and conducted a criminal history
check. The suspect came back with a warrant. He was then arrested,
processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 

11/3/07

John Wesley Dobbs

07-0951       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Possession of
Marijuana. Officers observed the suspect smoking in his vehicle. The
officers arrested, processed and transported the suspect to Atlanta City
Jail.

 

 

Reports       

10/30/07

Arts and Humanities

07-0938       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 6:20 pm she left her
phone in AH. When she returned at 6:35 pm she noticed her phone was
missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

 

10/31/07

Alumni Hall

07-0939           A report was filed for Theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 9:45 am she left her bag in
Alumni Hall. When she returned at 10:40 am her bag was missing. A search
of the area was conducted with negative results. 

 

Lofts

07-0941       A report was filed for Theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU student, stated that on 10/31/07 he could not
find his passport. The last day he remembered having it was 9/15/07. 

 

Haas Howell

07-0942       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
 On 10/30/07 two GSU plant working stated that they could not find their
keys. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

 

07-0944

Piedmont Ave

07-0944       A report was filed for Theft of motor vehicle. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated he let his someone barrow his car. 
When the complainant, asked for it back the suspect refused to give it
to him. The case is being handled by Investigations. 

 

Library Plaza

07-0945       A report was filed for Attempted robbery. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 9:10 pm someone tried to take
his bag from him. The complainant fought back and the suspect was not
able to take anything. The case is being Handled by Investigations. 

 

11/1/07

Aderhold

07-0946       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU student stated that on 10/26/07 at 9:50 am she
noticed her phone was missing. A search of the area was conducted with
negative results. 

 

11/2/07

Park Place

07-0948       Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass
Warnings. A GSU staff member stated two suspects took her phone and were
still in the building. Officers located the suspects but they did not
have the phone on them. The suspects were issued CTWs and escorted off
campus. 

11/3/07

Commons

07-0950       Officers issued two non-GSU individuals Criminal Trespass
Warnings. Officers were called by an RA who stated that the two suspects
were walking around the commons and did not live there. The suspects
were issued CTWs and escorted off campus.
