Georgia State University Police Department 
The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. November 8, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. November 12, 2007.

 

Arrests

 

11/8/07

Wall St

07-0970       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for robbery. The
officers observed a robbery in progress and were able to stop and detain
the suspect.  The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton
County Jail. 

 

11/9/07

Commons

07-0977       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Theft.
Officers detained a suspect to give him a CTW and he was in possession
of two stolen credit cards. The suspect was arrested, processed and
taken to Fulton County Jail. 

 

Calhoun Park

07-0978       Officers arrested two non-GSU individual for Possession
of Marijuana. The officers observed the suspect making a drug deal. The
suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 

 

11/12/07

Auburn Ave

07-0984       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Possession of
Marijuana. The officer observed the suspect smoking in the street. The
suspect was arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 

 

Commons

07-0987       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual as an Agency
Assist. The suspect was stopped for panhandling. The suspect came back
with an active warrant. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to
Fulton County Jail. 

 

Reports

11/8/07

Upper Wall st

07-0967       A report was filed for theft. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that at 8:00 pm she  parked her car on wall st. When she
returned an hour later someone had opened her door, which was unlocked,
and had taken cash and other items from her vehicle. A search of the
area was conducted with negative results. 

 

Library Plaza

07-969                                Officers issued a non-GSU
individual a criminal trespass warning. Officers were called to the
plaza in reference to a suspicious person.  When officers arrived they
located the suspect and issued him a CTW. The suspect was escorted off
campus without incident. 

 

11/9/07

Arts and Humanities

07-0974       A report was filed for fraud. The complainant, a GSU
faculty member, stated that she responded to an email that appeared to
be from the IRS and provided that website her SSN, Date of Birth and
Name.  She later realized it was a phishing site. The case is being
handled by Investigations. 

 

Aderhold

07-0975       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that she could not find her
work keys. A search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

 

Off campus

07-0976       A report was filed for Fraud. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that someone used her debt card. The Case is being
handled by Investigations. 

 

 

11/10/07

Sports Arena

07-0981       Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass
Warning. The complainant, a GSU staff member stated that the suspect was
trying gain entry into the sports arena. The suspect was issued a CTW
and escorted off campus. 

 

11/12/07

Commons

07-0982       A report was filed for Criminal Damage to property.  The
complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that a vehicle entering the
parking deck broke the gate arm. The case is being handled by
Investigations.

 

Commons

07-0989       Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass
Warning. The suspect was seen damaging property in the commons and is
not a resident. The suspect was issued a CTW and escorted off campus.
