The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. October 2, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. October 3, 2007.

 

Arrests

9/28/07

Woodruff Park

07-0831       Officers arrested three non-GSU individuals for Poss. of
Marijuana. The officers observed the suspect smoking marijuana in the
park. The suspects were arrested, processed and taken to Atlanta City
Jail.

 

9/29/07

Piedmont Ave

07-0836       Officers arrested a GSU student for Poss. of Marijuana.
Officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle and stopped
the vehicle.  A search yielded multiple bags of marijuana. The suspect
was arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges. 

 

Reports
10/2/07

Piedmont @ Decatur

07-0839       A report was filed for Pedestrian hit bit by a Vehicle. 
At 7:08 am a Georgia Building Authority Vehicle hit a student crossing
Decatur St.  The Investigation showed that the student ran into the
street and the vehicle did not have time to stop.  The student was taken
to Grady hospital in critical condition.  

 

Sparks Hall

07-0840       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 7:35 pm on 9/26 he left
his cell phone in Sparks Hall.  Ten minutes later when he returned his
phone was missing. 

 

Commons

07-0841       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU staff member stated that on on10/2/07 he noticed that
two TVs were missing from their storage area. The case is being handled
by Investigations.

 

M-Deck

07-0842       A report was filed for Sexual Battery.  The complainant,
a GSU student, stated that a subject offered to sell her a laptop near I
-lot.  The student refused and continued to walk to her car in M-Deck. 
When she arrived at her car she felt someone grabbing her behind and
turned around.  The suspect grabbing her was the same one that offered
her the laptop. The suspect fled the area and no injuries were reported.
 The case is being handled by Investigations.

 

Commons

07-0843       Officers arrested a GSU student for Possession of
Marijuana. Officers were called to the suspect's room by the RA.  When
officers entered the room the student admitted to smoking marijuana and
turned over the remaining drugs she had in her possession. The suspect
was arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges.
