Georgia State University Police Department

The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. October 12, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. October 16, 2007.

 

Arrests

 

10/15/07

Commons

07-0884      Officers arrested a GSU student for Possession of
Marijuana and Alcohol.  Officers were called to the suspect's room in
reference to an odor of marijuana. The suspect opened the door and
admitted to having marijuana and alcohol and being under the influence
of both. While processing the suspect he became ill, was released on a
copy of charges and taken to Grady hospital for treatment. The suspect
was later released by Grady. 

 

Reports       

10/12/07

Andrew Young Building

07-0874       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU staff member stated that at 10:11 am she noticed that
a project was missing. The last time the projector was seen was in June
of 2007. 



University Center

07-0875       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU staff member stated that at 11:10 am a cashier at the
food court left an envelope with receipts on a table.  When she returned
she noticed that envelope was missing. A search of the area was
conducted with negative results. 

 

Dobbs Ave Parking Lot

07-0876       A report was filed for Vandalism. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that at 2:00 am she parked her car in the lot and went
to her room in the commons. When she returned to her car at 3:22 pm she
noticed her car was keyed. The case is being handled by Investigations.


 

University Center

07-0877       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
 The complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 12:00 pm he left his
wallet in the University Center. When he returned at 1:25 pm he noticed
his wallet was missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative
results. 

 

Campus

07-0878       A report was filed for Fraud. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that on 9/28/07 he noticed two charges on his banking
account the he did not authorize. The case is being handled by
Investigations. 

 

10/15/07

Student Center

07-0880       A report was filed from building. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that while sleeping in the student center she left her
book bag with her laptop next to her at 8:45 am. When she awoke at 9:15
am she noticed her bag was missing. A search of the area was conducted
with negative results.

 

Urban life

07-0882       A report was filed for theft. The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that someone took his debt card and made two purchases
on his card. The case is being handled by Investigations. 

 

One Park Tower

07-0883       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU staff member stated that at 4:45 pm she noticed that
his wallet was missing from under her desk. A search of the area was
conducted with negative results.
