The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. October 22, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. October 25, 2007.

 

Arrests

 

10/22/07      

Auburn Ave

07-0909       Two GSU students were arrested for Battery. Both students
stated that they fought and struck one another.  Both students were
arrested, processed and released on a copy of charges. 

10/23/07

Pryor St

07-0918       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Possession of
Marijuana. The officer observed what he thought to be a drug transaction
and was able to stop one of the suspects. The suspect had multiple bags
of drugs on his person. The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to
Atlanta City Jail. 

 

10/24/07

Shell Station

07-0921       Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for possession of
cocaine. Officers using the commons' cameras observed the suspect
rolling a blunt in the parking lot and stopped the suspect. A search of
the suspect's vehicle yielded the cocaine. The suspect was arrested,
processed and taken to Fulton County Jail. 

Reports       

 

10/22/07      

Rec Center

07-0910       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 8:40 am she went to sleep in
the Rec Center. When she awoke at 9:45 am she noticed her book bag was
missing, along with her laptop. The case is being handled by
Investigations.

 

Off Campus

07-0911       A report was filed fraud.  The complainant, a GSU
student, stated that someone opened a cell phone account in his name. 
The case is being handled by Investigations. 

 

Library Plaza

07-0912       Officers issued a non-GSU individual a Criminal Trespass
Warning. Officers responded to a panhandler in the plaza. Officers
located the suspect, issued him a CTW and escorted him off campus. 

 

Student Center

07-0913       A report was filed for fraud. The complainant, a GSU
Student, stated that on 10/15/07 he used an ATM in the Student Center
and left his card in the ATM.  He also stated that someone used his card
to withdraw funds. The case is being handled by Investigations. 

 

10/23/07

Kell Hall

07-0917       A report was filed for theft of lost or mislaid property.
The complainant, a GSU staff member, stated that at 1:25 pm she left her
purse in a classroom in Kell Hall. When she returned half an hour later
she noticed her cell phone and some cash was missing from her bag. A
search of the area was conducted with negative results. 

 

10/24/07

Student Center

07-0920       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complaints were two GSU students, who stated that while they were
sleeping someone took their book bags. The suspect was seen by
surveillance and the case is being handled by Investigations
