The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. September 20, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. September 21, 2007.
Arrests
9/20/07
M Parking Deck
Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Entering Auto/Carrying a
Concealed Weapon. The officer responded to a call of someone attempting
to break into vehicles in M Parking Deck. The officers apprehended the
suspect, who was identified by the complainant. The suspect was
arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail.
Courtland Street
Officers arrested a non-GSU individual for Unlicensed Driver/No Proof
of Insurance. While on patrol the officer observed the suspect failing
to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. A traffic stop was initiated
which came back stating that the suspect was not licensed and did not
have valid insurance on the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, processed
and taken to Fulton County Jail. The vehicle was impounded by A-Tow.
Barbara Ashley Square (5 Points)
Officers arrested two non-GSU individuals for Possession of Drugs with
intent to Distribute. While on patrol the officers observed the two
individuals that are known drug offenders. The suspects were arrested,
processed and taken to Fulton County Jail.
Reports
9/20/07
Courtland Building
A report was filed for Theft by Taking. The complainant, a GSU Staff
member, stated that she last saw her laptop on 9/10/07 at 7:00 a.m. on
the floor next to her desk. She did not notice it missing until 9/20/07.
University Center (Bookstore)
A report was filed for Fraud. The complainant, a GSU staff member,
stated that a purchase was made on 9/5/07 for $2190. They were notified
on 9/6/07 that the form of payment was made on a closed checking
account.
Student Center
A report was filed for Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property. The complainant,
a GSU student, stated that she last used her phone when she was in the
Student Center. When she went to retrieve her phone ($264) from her
purse it was missing.
University Commons
A report was filed for Criminal Trespass Warning. Officers responded to
a disturbance call on the 2nd floor of Building B. Upon arrival, a
non-GSU individual, and a GSU student, admitted to having an
altercation. The victim did not was to press charges against the
suspect. The suspect was issued a CTW and escorted off the property.
Aderhold Learning Center
A report was filed for Theft of Lost/Mislaid Property. The complainant,
a GSU student, stated that she last saw her pouch with contents when she
was in General Classroom Building between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. She
has not been able to find it since then and wanted to report it
missing.
