The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. September 25, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. September 26, 2007.

University Commons (Building D)

A report was filed for Fire. Officers responded to a fire alarm on the
6th floor. It was determined that the resident caused a small fire while
she was cooking that set off the smoke detector and the sprinkler
system. There was small water damaged as a result of the fire. 

Classroom South 

A report was filed for Theft by Taking. The complainant, a GSU student,
stated that he left his Palm Pilot ($400) on his desk. He went to the
front of the classroom to retrieve some papers, when he returned back to
his desk; the Palm Pilot had been taken. 

 

Urban Life

A report was filed for Theft by Taking. The complainant, a GSU student,
stated that $70 was taken from the Lounge. The money was left in an
unsecured cargo box in the secure Lounge. 

 

Library North

A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property. The
complainant, a GSU student, stated that at 1:30 p.m. she left her laptop
unattended while she went to retrieve some items from her locker. She
returned a few minutes later. When she was departing the Library at 4:30
p.m. she noticed that it was missing.
