Georgia State University Police Department
The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. February 25, 2008 through 7:00 a.m. February 26, 2008.

Arrests
02/25/08
K-Deck
08-0161	Officers arrested a Non-G.S.U. individual on an Agency
Assist. At 7:14 p.m. officers observed the suspect looking into cars.
Officers made contact with the suspect and conducted a criminal history
check which indicated the suspect had an active warrant. The suspect was
issued a Criminal Trespass Warning, arrested, processed and transported
to Fulton County Jail.

02/25/08
University Commons Turn Around
08-0164	Officers arrested two G.S.U. students on a copy of
charges for Underage Drinking. At 11:59 p.m. Officers made contact with
two individuals and smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The
two individuals advised officers they had been drinking. They were both
issued citations and released on a copy of charges and issued a court
date.

Classroom South
08-0154	Officers issued a Non-G.S.U. individual a Criminal
Trespass Warning. Officers observed the individual panhandling in the
building at 9:35 a.m. The suspect was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning
and escorted off campus without incident.

Education Building
08-0155	A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid
Property. The complainant, a Non-G.S.U. individual stated at 11:00 a.m.
she noticed her cellular phone was missing. A search of the area was
conducted with negative results.

One Park Tower
08-0156	 A report was filed for Theft. The complainant a G.S.U.
staff member stated he last saw his G.S.U. gray-in-color Dell laptop on
08/01/07 at 6:00 p.m. He stated he was unable to confirm if the laptop
had been reassigned. The case is being handled by Investigations.

University Commons
08-0157	 Officers issued a Non-G.S.U. individual a Criminal
Trespass Warning. At 5:30 p.m. officers observed the individual approach
several female students harassing them. Officers then made contact with
the individual issued him a Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted him
off campus without incident.

General Classroom Building
08-0159	 A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid
Property. A G.S.U. student stated that at 2:45 p.m. she left her brown
book bag containing various items in a classroom. She stated upon her
return the book bag was missing. A search of the area was conducted with
negative results.

02/25/08
University Commons
08-0160	 A report was filed for Drug Paraphernalia.  The
complainant a G.S.U. staff member stated that at 6:40 p.m. she was
conducting a welfare check when she observed a bong commonly used to
smoke marijuana, as well as observed a strong odor of marijuana.
Officers arrived and confiscated the bong and turned it over to
Investigations. The student was not present at the time. The case is
being handled by Investigations.

General Classroom Building
08-0162	Officers issued a Non-G.S.U. individual a Criminal
Trespass Warning. At 8:55 p.m. officers observed the individual sitting
on the steps extremely intoxicated. Officers advised the suspect several
times to depart the area, which he refused. The suspect was then issued
a Criminal Trespass Warning and escorted off campus without incident.

University Center
08-0163	A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid
Property. The complainant a G.S.U. student stated that at 8:30 p.m. she
noticed her silver-in-color Samsung cell phone was missing. A search of
the area was conducted with negative results.

Library North
08-0164	A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid
Property. The complainant a G.S.U. student stated that at 4:30 p.m. she
noticed her brown-in-color purse containing various items was missing. A
search of the area was conducted with negative results.
