The following is a summary of Georgia State University Police reports
from 7:00 a.m. December 20, 2007 through 7:00 a.m. January 2, 2007.

 

Arrests

 

12/23/07

Central Ave

07-1094       Officers arrested two non-GSU juveniles as missing
person/ runaways. Officers stopped the two juveniles and conducted a
criminal history check which showed both juveniles as runways and a one
of them had a warrant. One juvenile was turned over to their parents and
the one was taken to the Youth Detention Center. 

12/26/07

Commons

07-1101       Officers arrested one GSU student for simple battery and
one non-GSU individual for Criminal Trespass. Officers were called to
the turn around for a fight in progress.  When officers arrived they saw
two people who had been arguing and conducted criminal history checks on
both suspects. The non-GSU individual came back with a warrant and an
active Criminal Trespass Warning. The non-GSU person also had injuries
he stated his girl friend (the GSU student) gave him. Both suspects were
arrested, processed and taken to Fulton County Jail.  

 

12/27/07

Alumni Hall

07-1102       Officers arrested a non GSU individual for Criminal
Trespass. Officers observed the suspect trying to gain entry into Alumni
Hall and detained him. A criminal history check was conducted which
showed an active CTW.  The suspect was arrested, processed and taken to
Fulton County Jail

12/24/07

General Classroom Building

07-1095       A report was filed for Criminal Trespass. The officer
observed a candy machine with the front glass panel broken and its
contents missing. A search of the area was conducted with negative
results. 

 

12/26/07

General Classroom Building

07-1097       A report was filed for Criminal Damage.  Officers noticed
damage to some ceiling tiles and it appeared that someone was trying to
gain entry into the office from the ceiling. The case is being handled
by Investigations.  

 

Sports Arena

07-1099       A report was filed for theft from building.  The
complainant, GSU staff member, stated that on 12/24/07 at 12:00 pm she
noticed that the TV in the women's locker room was present. When she
returned on 12/26/07 at 3:30 pm she noticed it was missing. The case is
being handled by Investigations. 

 

1/1/08

Lofts

08-0004       A report was filed for theft from building. The
complainants, two GSU students, stated that at 11:34 am they noticed
their wallets were missing. They stated that they had a group of people
in there loft and one of them might have taken it. A search of the area
was conducted with negative results.
