A GSU student, who lives in Bethel Towers, stated that at 10:30 pm while walking into the building she was approached by three suspects who ordered her into her car and drove her to a gas station where they attempted to take money out of her account with an ATM. The three suspects then drove her to a parking lot where she was assaulted before being released. The case is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. The three suspects are described as black males. No other description was available. At 9:08 a.m. Officers observed an individual roaming the building which had previously been issued a verbal criminal trespass warning. Officers stopped the individual and issued him a written C.T.W. and he was escorted off campus. 07/24/08 Student Recreation Center 08-0571 A report was filed for Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property. The complainant, a G.S.U. Faculty member stated on 07/18/08 at 2:30 p.m. he remembered leaving his company keys on the bottom level of the Student Recreation Center. When he returned to locate the keys they were missing. The area was checked with negative results. 07/24/08 Library South 08-0572 A report was filed for Vandalism. The complainant, a G.S.U. staff member stated at 12:35 p.m. while conducting a check on all equipment he noticed the bottom panel of a DVD/VCR player had been ripped off. The case is being handled by Investigations. 07/24/08 Kimball Way 08-0573 A report was filed for Entering Auto. The complainant, a G.S.U. student, stated at 10:55 a.m. he parked his car and when he returned at 1:00 p.m. he noticed his front window was broken. There were several items reported missing. Arrests 07/26/08 Library North 08-0576 Officers arrested a Non-G.S.U. individual on an Agency Assist/Criminal Trespass Warning. At 10:55 a.m. Officers observed the individual in the Library and once the suspect observed the officers he quickly walked away. Offices made contact with the individual and conducted a G.C.I.C. check which confirmed and active warrant. The suspect was issued a CTW, arrested and was transported to Fulton County Jail. 07/27/08 Peachtree Center Ave. 08-0577 Officers arrested a Non-G.S.U. individual for Drugs. At 7:12 a.m. officers observed the suspect exit a closed parking deck. Offices made contact with the suspect and while writing a CTW the suspect continued to raise his voice. While waiting on the paperwork officers requested to conduct a search, which the suspect approved. During the search officers located pills and marijuana which were individually bagged. The suspect was issued a CTW, arrested and transported to Fulton County Jail. Reports 07/25/08 Decatur St. 08-0575 A report was filed for Fighting. The complainant, a Non-G.S.U. individual, stated at 4:40 p.m. he observed several individuals in a physical fight. Officers made contact with the individuals which were all juveniles. The parents were contacted and advised about the situation. All of the juveniles were released into the custody of their parents. 07/27/08 Library South 08-0578 A report was filed for Theft. The complainant, a G.S.U. student, stated at 11:10 a.m. she left a G.S.U Dell Latitude Laptop and her Motorola Razor phone unattended while she took a break. When she returned the items were missing. The complainant, a Non-G.S.U. individual stated, on 07/18/08 at 1:00 p.m. he placed (69) Stanley Steel Corner Guards on the loading dock and when he returned on 07/30/08 at 7:45 a.m. they were missing. The case is being handled by Investigations. 07/30/08 Edgewood Ave. / Park Place 08-0584 Officers were involved in an Agency Assist which involved a Non-G.S.U. individual. At 10:45 a.m. Officers observed an Atlanta Police Officer conducting a traffic stop. The APD Officer attempted to take the keys from the ignition of the vehicle and the suspect then placed the vehicle in gear dragging the officer. G.S.U. officers immediately put out a help call for the APD Officer and attempted to keep a visual of the vehicle but lost sight of the vehicle.
